What Does Your Cartoon Avatar Look Like?

There are opportunities to create a cartoon version of yourself all across the social media/app world, including the popular iMadeFace app and other ways to make the mock-up easier than ever. Or you could go the old-fashioned caricature route like the group of BYU animation students that we recently profiled for a client's blog. This blog compiled 11 links that will help you make yourself into a cartoon, with tools ranging from rudimentary to fairly detailed.

Whichever way you choose, what does designing your own cartoon say about yourself? An interesting psychology element goes into each decision. Do you like your eyes, ears or nose? Do you portray them accurately, or do you size them to make yourself more like you want to be? Would you include things like an Adam's apple, scars or acne? Even something as simple as your facial expression says something significant about your self-image. Smile or not? Big, toothy grin or a little smirk?

How do you see yourself? And what does your personal cartoon image say about you?
